Sevita Activities Coordinator in Oxnard, California

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Our 10-bed NeuroRestorative facility located in Oxnard, CA, is a fully licensed JCAHO accredited Congregate Living Healthcare (CLHF) facility that specializes in brain, spinal cord and other life-altering injuries and medically-complex illnesses. We offer in-patient treatment in a residential home-like setting to individuals of all ages, which includes Neurorehabilitation, respite, post-acute, and sub-acute care.

As Activities Coordinator, you will conduct group and individual recreational activities according to an individual’s needs, capabilities, and interests.

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and implement meaningful group activities with focus on emphasizing the preferences of individuals served.

  • Provide daily instruction and guidance to staff regarding activity delivery methods and techniques as well as at staff meetings.

  • Determine and implement necessary precautions in exercising responsibility for the care and safety of individuals served.

  • Maintain curriculum binders for each classroom to ensure that varied and age-appropriate activities are planned and conducted for all individuals served.

    Activities Coordinator

    $18-$21 per hour based on experience

    Per-Diem position available (up to 30 hours/week)

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Activity Coordinator preferred

  • Two years’ experience working with developmentally disabled adults, including planning and conducting activities for this population

  • Valid driver’s license in good standing with car registration and vehicle insurance

  • All state-required training and certification completed in mandated timeframes

  • Reliable, responsible, and caring nature

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
