Qualified Supervising Professional (QSP)
Northway Academy (NWA) is seeking a Qualified Supervising Professional (QSP) to provide general clinical services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families in our EIDBI programs. The QSP provides oversight to all employees and activities related to the delivery of services. Excellent starting wages, full benefits and flexibility. Travel required for days on-site across NWA clinics in Minnesota (currently 12 locations within Minnesota).
What you’ll be doing as a QSP:
Complete Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluations (CMDE) to determine medical necessity for EIDBI services
Support development, implementation, and monitoring of treatment plans in coordination with Board Certified Behavior Analysts for children with behavioral, emotional, and developmental concerns with an emphasis on Autism Spectrum or related disorders
Ensure the individual treatment plan (ITP) and all EIDBI services provided take into consideration the person’s and family’s values, goals, preferences, culture and language.
Supervise, manage and review all aspects of EIDBI services, treatment, and documentation (including case notes and incident reports) to ensure compliance and fidelity.
Supervise and oversee all EIDBI services provided by level I, II and II providers
Provide training and consultation as assigned and appropriate
Attend clinical staff meetings
Attend Coordinated Care Conferences for each child as required for compliance standards
Perform all of the clinical supervision functions required by their professional licensing board and as defined in the EIDBI policy manual.
Education and Knowledge:
MUST possess current MINNESOTA Professional License to provide services.
To qualify as a qualified supervising professional (QSP), a person must meet ALL of the following requirements:
Be employed by an EIDBI provider agency; acknowledgement of EIDBI benefit is preferred but will be met if offered this position
Be a physician, advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), developmental or behavioral pediatrician or licensed mental health professional as defined in Minn. Stat. §245I.04, subd. 2
Have either:
Completed the equivalent in graduate-level coursework at an accredited university.
Coursework must be documented in one or more of the following areas: ASD or a related condition diagnostics, ASD or a related condition treatment strategies or child development
At least 2,000 hours of clinical experience and/or training in the examination and/or treatment of people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or a related condition
Be able to provide treatment within their scope of practice and license.
Qualifications:
Professional background working with special populations in behavioral intervention
- Experience with behavior analysis within an applied setting preferred
Able to follow and implement HIPAA Rules and Regulations, state and federal confidentiality rules, and the privacy standards
Competence and skills in the use of technology to enhance the provision of services:
- Must have proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook for scheduling purposes, email)
Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets insurability requirements as defined by the Company’s insurance carrier.
Personal Skills:
Skilled in written and oral communications, with a focus on conflict resolution
An ability to establish rapport easily and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Respectful and professional standards when discussing employees and employee information with other partners and supervisory staff
Proven experience as a customer service champion
Ability to work and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Strong team player
