Sevita Program Administration Admissions Coordinator in Livonia, Michigan

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

*This is a work from home position that requires 40 hours a week Monday-Friday but has some flexibility.* SUMMARY

The Admissions Associate is responsible for managing multiple data systems by insuring data is entered promptly and accurately. The Admissions Associate responds to or directs all website inquiries, answers and directs calls from the national 800#, and responds to or forwards all incoming faxes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below.

  • Manages inquiries regarding referrals for prospective participants and provides information regarding available programs and services.

  • Maintains and updates the databases with prospective persons referred and their statuses.

  • Manages “800” call and web-site referral system. Takes calls and facilitates an immediate response by each region to caller’s requests. Provides research and resources to outside and internal callers regarding programs and product lines.

  • Completes entry for referrals and all admissions into multiple data systems with 95% accuracy

  • Responds to billing inquires in a timely manner

  • Coordinates inquiries between Admissions Coordinators and Auth/Billing departments

  • Runs daily/weekly/monthly reports to maintain data systems

  • Performs other related duties and activities as required.

  • Supports Admissions Coordinators in day to day functions

  • Gains ongoing knowledge of the programs, locations and services of Sevita Health

Minimum Knowledge and Skills required by the Job

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required

  • 1-2 years health care experience preferred

  • Experience working in multiple data systems

  • Experience with database management

  • Experience with Point Click Care and Salesforce.com preferred

  • None

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team-orientated environment

  • Ability to work independently, self-motivate and self-schedule tasks with a minimum of ongoing supervision

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel

  • Critical thinking skills/troubleshooting skills

  • Proper phone etiquette

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
